Relax, Unwind, Relax 2

Why do Casureco II employees still organize beach overnights in the midst of all the office mess and internal organizational problems?

It is simple, because we can.

Yes, 400 pesos per head, 20 people, 12 hours of relax, unwind, relax. Again. Do I still need to draw it play by play like the first episode? It was pretty much the same, except for the food, and the henna and drinking, and the banters, and the pictures. Ok, I'll do it!

The difference between a group of friends goin' out versus a group of officefriends goin' out? Not much, especially if the officefriends agree that office topics are strictly off limits. So, this was a simple NagueƱo beach outing. By 3 PM, Ian had already commissioned a Centro-San Felipe-Vice Versa jeepney to bring us to Surfer's Paradise for 500 pesos. You caught the name? yeah it is a paradise! What made it so, I dunno, certainly not the videoke, or the pooltable, or the ten peso per head entrance, or the surfs - there weren't any! I still do not get the name.

Anyway, being the designated co-organizer, I was up to the task of killing the crabs (an-et, is this the term for Lady crab?). The vaind lineup was ginataang an-et with kalabasa and malunggay, beef steak courtesy of Rex, inasal na manok and some late arrivals of steamed fish courtesy of Wendell. So imagine my delight when the officefriends were squabbling over the an-et when I announced that there were only eight pieces. If they only knew that I just got out of the nature's lair before I mashed the squash.

To hasten our passing out, we started with the two liters of Gilbey Gin mixed with Lime Juice at a little after five PM. ( I told you what else is new???) Aside from the intermittent Henna tattoo service, it was pretty much the usual drinking spree. Jay got the three stars and the sun replica, Kat chose a butterfly over the right shoulder (ala-Mandy Whore in a walk to remember), Jang picked a sun, Albert took a dragon in the arm, and I got a mess of abstract ink. Actually I slept on the tattoo and it spread all over the sheets and my back.

In the morning, we were able to get over our hang-over with some clean cold salt water, and some loving hugs and kisses from my daughter who was pretty much the main reason why I slept early. I would cherish this back to back outing because this will probably be my last and only two for the summer. So overall, another relaxing, unwinding, relaxing time of my life.

8 out of 10.
